Author's tour "Cape Horn and Antarctica Cruise"

After an overnight passage across Nassau Bay, you wake up to the legendary Cape Horn! Zodiac weather permitting, we head to this famous and rarely visited island, and we will be among the privileged lucky few. Back on board, we sail to Antarctica and cross the famous strait named after Sir Francis Drake, the great British explorer of the 16th century.

As we sail through the Drake Passage on our way to King George Island, in the South Shetland Islands, we will listen to fascinating lectures and presentations. In the company of experienced guides, we will observe wildlife from the lounge or from the external decks. Magnificent seabirds such as albatrosses and petrels can be spotted, as well as various species of whales as they head south to Antarctica.

After crossing the Antarctic Convergence, the environment changes markedly. Let's keep the camera ready, because it's time to see the icebergs and land of Antarctica for the first time. Having reached the South Shetland Islands, we sail through bays filled with ice; enjoying the company of seabirds, penguins, seals and whales. On the Zodiac we go to the shore with colonies of penguins. Thanks to Antarctic's endless daylight, exploration can continue into the evening.

Upon arrival at King George Island, we disembark at Fildes Bay. To get to the plane, we will walk 2 km through the Chilean Frei and station and the Russian Bellingshausen station. One last look at Antarctica as we fly back to Punta Arenas. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for the night. (Note: meals in Punta Arenas are on your own, not included in the program).

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Punta Arenas Airport for your onward flight.
