After breakfast at the hotel, a sightseeing tour of the historic center of Bogotá, called La Candelaria, awaits you. The next stop on the tour is the Gold Museum, which houses some 34,000 pre-Hispanic gold coins and more than 25,000 pre-Columbian artifacts. Later, we will visit the Casa de la Moneda and the Botero Collection, which displays works by Fernando Botero, an internationally recognized Colombian artist in the field of painting, drawing and sculpture. The tour ends with a walk along the Marco de la Plaza de Bolivar: the Cathedral, the Casa de Nariño (residence of the President of Colombia), the Palace of Lievano (Bogotá City Hall) and the Palace of Justice. This excursion is a wonderful combination of two of the most important attractions in the vicinity of Bogota. We go to the sacred Lake Guatavita, which was and remains part of the sacred legend of El Dorado, the city of gold, which is decorated with the treasures of the indigenous Indians (Muisca), where gold had no meaning. This place has been searched for many years, but evidence of its existence has not yet been found. There is also an alternative legend about El Dorado, according to which this city is located in the Andes, next to a lake. Thanks to this legend, the first conquistadors went in search of this lake, and for some reason that your guide will tell you, this lake is Guatavita. Visit this mystical place and enjoy its beauty, history, beautiful views, landscapes and, perhaps, you will find grains of gold while walking along Indian trails. In Zipaquirá we will visit the main square of the city and also walk along its beautiful and cozy streets. Then by car or on foot we go to the Cathedral. The excursion to the Salt Cathedral, which is open from 9 am, lasts about 2 hours. This beautiful cathedral is completely carved out of salt and is unique in its kind. The cathedral is located underground at a depth of 180 meters. Here, away from everyday life, you can relax and get to know yourself. After the excursion we return to Bogota. The duration of the Zipaquirá-Bogota transfer is 1.5 hours.

Salento and Cocora Valley The journey then begins in Valle del Cocora, where we will enjoy the beautiful landscapes of this region. We will also visit the town of Salento. Upon arrival in Valle del Cocora, we will receive a welcome cocktail (Canelazo) and the assistance of a specialized eco-guide from Cocora, who will introduce us to the Cocora Nature Reserve. After the hike, transfer to the Palm Forest, where we can appreciate the biodiversity of the fauna and flora of the region, and follow an ecological trail to the tallest wax palm in the world and the national tree of Colombia. Here we will perform the Quindío wax palm ritual; during which we will learn about the history of how the aborigines worshiped this palm. You will also plant palm seedlings. In the valley you can do additional activities such as ecological horse riding, walks through exclusive and very special places of the valley, enjoy a delicious typical lunch in a restaurant in the Cocora Valley (not included in the price) or attend a barista show of original coffee in the town of Salento at the Jesús Martín café. Transfer to a typical Salento town where we will take a walking tour of its colonial streets, artisan workshops and the Cocora viewpoint. At the appointed time, transfer to the hotel. "Coffee experience" We will visit the El Ocaso coffee farm for a "coffee experience", located at an altitude of about 1,500 meters above sea level on the volcanic soils of the Central Mountain Range of the Colombian Andes. The tour is accompanied by a local expert who will show tourists the process of planting coffee, selective manual harvesting. Afterwards, we will roast the coffee beans over a wood fire in the kitchen of a typical country house, after which we can enjoy real coffee. During the excursion we will visit several stations with a beautiful view of nature, and also enjoy a cup of aromatic coffee. The excursion ends with an observation of the drying process of coffee beans and a visit to the processing plant.
