This fantastic sight is a forest of gray sharp rocks, and the rocks are very hard and razor sharp. The rock outcroppings and canyons of Tsingy de Bemaraja were formed over millions of years primarily underground in the form of deep, narrow karst caves, and monsoon rains eroded tens of meters of limestone and thick layers of chalk deposits, forming natural bridges, spiers and gorges up to 120 meters deep.
