Peru: Land of the Incas - Cultural Journey

After breakfast, we begin our exploration of Lima, also known as the “city of kings”. The first visit is the Park of Love in the Miraflores district, where the unique sculpture of Victor Delfin called “The Kiss” is located. This park was opened on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1993. The park offers a magnificent view of the ocean, and the walls of the park are decorated with romantic drawings. Then we will go to the historical center of Lima, full of monuments and pyramids from different eras. We will explore the San Isidro district, where the main financial institutions of the city are located, as well as the central square with such important buildings as the Government Palace, the Municipality and the Archbishop’s Palace. We will also visit the Cathedral, which contains the tomb of the founder of Lima, Francisco Pizarro. Then we will walk through the Monastery of San Domingo and visit the Larco Museum, which houses ancient gold and ceramic items. Return to the hotel in the evening.

Breakfast at the hotel. Then transfer to the airport and flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, meet and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, a tour of the Sacsayhuaman complex, built during the time of the Incas. According to legend, only people from the royal family could enter this sacred complex. We will also visit the Coricancha, the Temple of the Sun, which was covered in gold and destroyed by the Spanish. However, an earthquake destroyed the Spanish monastery, and under its ruins were found the remains of the temple. The next point of the excursion is the Tambomachay water temple, which was also sacred to the Incas, with baths and a pool for the Great Inca. We will also see the Red Fort (Puka Pukara), which served as a guard complex. After the excursion, return to the hotel in Cusco.

Breakfast. Afterwards we go to the train station for a trip to Machu Picchu, the lost city of the Incas, located high in the mountains of Peru. This unique city was accidentally discovered in the 20th century by an American explorer. Machu Picchu is considered to be the city of the Incas, which they abandoned for an unknown reason. The city has a special energy, and its picturesque mountains and canyons are amazing. After the excursion, you will have free time for photo sessions and relaxation. Then we go down to the village, where we have lunch, and then return by train to Cusco. Transfer to the hotel.

Breakfast. Excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, which is famous for its fertility and favorable climate, ideal conditions for agriculture. Here the Incas built cities, and now we can see the ruins of these ancient settlements. We will visit Urubamba, Pisac, Ollantaytambo and Chinchero, as well as the beautiful complex of Moray with terraces for agriculture. In Pisac we will have the opportunity to visit a local fair and buy handicrafts. In the zoological center "Ahuanacancha" we will meet llamas, alpacas and vicunas. Night in the Sacred Valley.

At the appointed time, transfer to the airport for your flight home.
