Air Travel Disruptions: Middle East Routes and Solutions for European & American Corporate Clients

We are writing to inform you about significant disruptions affecting air travel routes through the Middle East, specifically impacting flights over the UAE and surrounding airspace. This situation may have implications for your business travel and logistical operations. Airports in the UAE, including Dubai, are currently closed, while Muscat Airport in Oman remains operational. The timeline for reopening is uncertain, and although flights to destinations such as the Maldives, Seychelles, and Sri Lanka are listed as confirmed, this status is subject to change without notice.

Airlines are offering various options to mitigate these impacts. Emirates provides complimentary date changes within a 10-day window. Qatar Airways allows up to two free changes, with the flexibility to reschedule within 14 days, and even offers refunds for non-refundable fares. Etihad is facilitating free rebooking, with the option to postpone travel until March 15th. Gulf Air permits up to two complimentary changes and provides for involuntary refunds without penalty. flydubai has suspended its flights until March 3rd (3:00 PM UAE time), offering either a full refund or a penalty-free rebooking with a date change of up to 20 days.

For those who booked tickets through our services, we urge you to contact your dedicated account manager immediately. Our team is actively exploring alternative routes and will provide comprehensive assistance with rebooking or processing refunds. If your tickets were purchased independently, it is crucial to regularly check your flight status on the airline's official website and monitor all communications from the carrier, including emails, SMS, and app notifications. We advise against waiting for official cancellation announcements; instead, proactively consider alternative travel itineraries, potentially utilizing routes through Asia with carriers such as Chinese airlines. Please be aware that availability on these alternative flights is limited, necessitating prompt action. We also wish to inform you that refunds for cancelled flights will be processed incrementally, following official notifications from the respective airlines
