TFN Airport Snapshot
The single-building terminal at Tenerife North (IATA: TFN) mainly serves interisland and European traffic. AENA’s recent refurbishments added brighter seating areas, better way-finding and expanded food outlets, but space is still tight at peak times.
Airport Hours
The public areas open daily 05:00 – 00:00. Security re-opens at 06:00. Between 00:00 and 05:00 the building is fully closed and passengers are requested to exit the premises.
Rest & Relaxation Zones
No designated snooze zones currently exist. Standard terminal benches include armrests, limiting comfortable horizontal rest. Travellers seeking uninterrupted sleep should consider one of the hotels listed below.
Cots for Irregular Operations
As of our latest audit, TFN does not supply emergency cots or blankets during major delays. Airline ground staff may provide vouchers for partnered hotels when disruption is weather-related; always ask politely.

Public showers are not offered. Lounge guests must rely on washrooms. If you require a proper rinse, consider booking a day-use room at La Laguna Gran Hotel.
Wi-Fi / Internet
Unlimited free Wi-Fi is supplied by AENA. Select the SSID “AIRPORT FREE WIFI AENA” and register with an email address or social-media login. Speeds averaged 28 Mbps down / 8 Mbps up during our May 2024 test.
